Having returned to 'work' after a weekend off, I am thrilled and absolutely delighted that there are now over 2000 that have clicked 'like' on FizZy Bob'S facebook page. I've said it before and I'll say it again, it always amazes me that there are more than just me, Mr FizZy and my mother that are 'fans'!!

Moving on up!

Are we all settled in to 2012??

I cant quite believe we are nearing the end of January already!

As most of you have seen, 2012 has started with a few new makes at FizZy HQ, ribbon loop cubes, dino's and owls have proved popular, it's been fun to start a new project and the dino's are great little characters!!!

It's also been fantastic to have been joined by so many new people on the facebook page, it's lovely to have you all browsing the pictures and joining in the general natter or adding your ideas and suggestions to my often 'mum' related questions and dilemas!!

The Fan of the Week app seems to be working again and you may have seen my post about the FOTW being entitled to free P+P on their next order and a little surprise gift being included in the parcel too. Just a small 'thank you' for  being part of the page and joining in, without the FizZy Fans the page and my makes would be pretty pointless!!!

I am totally and completely grateful to everyone that has clicked the 'Like' button on the page and would love to welcome some more into our 'gang'. If you have friends on facebook that havn't discovered us yet and think that we would be their 'cup of tea', it would be wonderful if you could 'share' us or use the 'invite friends' link thingy.

Once we have a bunch of 2000 FizZy Fans there will be a giveaway of some 'e-gift vouchers' - thought it would be a nice change from free bibs (although I know these are always well received).

You can count on the postal service to drive you bonkers!!!!

Excuse me whilst I spontaneously combust for a moment!!

I recently claimed for a lost parcel with our wonderful *ahem* national postal service......

Our local PO checked all of my documents/evidence to make sure it was what was needed.... all OK.

So today, my 'response' letter arrives.... delivered to the wrong house as it has the wrong address on it....

My claim basically 'rubbished' because according to them, I have NOT sent sufficient evidence and all I get is a book of 6 first class stamps!!!!

Mr FizZy's response "oh if I had known that I wouldn't have bothered buying a book last week" - how helpful of him :(

So I phone the number on the letter and begin explaining the situation to a lady and it becomes evident very quickly that she knows absolutely nothing at all *sigh* she said she needs to put me through to another department and starts to give me a phone number that I need to call - so she cant even just transfer me!!!!

Turns out the number she gives me is the one I had originally phoned to talk to her AAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

So I phone the SAME number again, press the option buttons (as I had before) and got through to another lady, explain the situation..... "I see you have been sent a book of stamps" she states - as if that's supposed to make up for it!!!

I ask her what type of evidence I should have sent - she reads out a list - yep, you guessed it, the list is exactly what I sent in the first place!!!

My complaint is being passed back to the claims department apparently for them to re assess and they will then get in touch via letter again.... so I ask the lady to make sure that the letter is sent to the correct address and for her to change my details on their system......

Am I really asking for too much???????

Halloween, Fireworks and Jingle Bells....

Realised the blog spot is a little out of date.... Ooops, time to add I think!

It's that busy time of year, half term for most, excited kids as it's just a few days left to Halloween.... every year Halloween seems to get bigger and bigger. Last year the neighbours had fake coffins on the front lawn and limbs sticking up out of the ground - needless to say our street was very busy!!

We have a cupboard choca-block with sweeties and goodies for all of the trick or treaters that will visit!

Then we move to Bonfire night, wrapping up warm and heading out to watch a display; either in your garden or one of those big organised events. Wizz - Pop - Bang!!

I don't need to say much about what comes next, most people are preparing for it in some way or another. Most children already have a list as long as their arm with what they are after from Santa..... have your lille darlings been naughty or nice this year?????

In between all of this, FizZy Bob's is as busy as ever - lots of Christmas Craft and Gift Fairs to attend, orders to complete, dino hoodies to bring to life etc etc..........

So... I already know what I'd like this year from Santa and if I'm really REALLY good, maybe he'll deliver them early............................................................................................................................................

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FIZZY BOBS!!!!!

It's FizZy Bob'S Birthday week, we are a whole year old!!! 

Huge thank you to each and everyone of you that has supported FizZy Bob'S in the past year by 'liking' our page, having a nosey at the pictures, chattering on the wall and of course placing lots of wonderful orders!!!

We have grown quite a bit in the year from a handful of fabrics to be made into bibs to a large print stash and an ever expanding range of items that I can make (and have been requested to make). Some things don't change though... it's always been my aim to offer well made baby and kids items, in gorgeous designer prints (now addicted to USA imports!!) with a realistic price tag! That won't change! 

August saw the arrival of the website, I'm still always tinkering about and changing things on there, a work in progress really... but it's working smoothly and is a much safer base (for you and me) for sales and transactions.  

Anyway, I'll stop waffling and gushing and get to the bits you really, really want to know!!!

Walking Update.....

Baby FizZy, AKA Noah is the noisiest member of the FizZy household and, of course is the reason behind FizZy Bob'S creation in 2010!


He is now 18 months and has taken his time doing 'everything' so no surprises that walking has been last on his 'to do' list!! Our facebook page has had lots of feedback from other mum's supporting what we all know, that all babies are different and all do things at different times. Stories have ranged from babies walking at 8 months and others at 2 years old! Amazing little things aren't they?! 


Anyway, our walking update.....


Noah is now walking along pushing his Toy Story ride on car (holding the handle) and has been doing laps of the downstairs area in our house.....


AND... he can now stand himself up unaided!!!

I managed to take a quick picture of him this morning whilst he was standing and clapping!!! Hoooooraaay, well done Baby FizZy!

I think those first steps aren't too far away...........
